Almost 50 persons took part in HISER Final Conference: Advances in Recycling and Recovery of Raw Materials from C&D Waste, which has been held in Hotel La Plaza, Brussels, on 16th of November 2018. Members of project's consortium used the opportunity to present all significant outcomes from the different HISER activities and experiences on recycling and recovery of raw materials gathered throughout the project duration.
After nearly four years of collaboration in the project, the aim of this final event was to present HISER findings in an attractive way to contribute to the dissemination of the knowledge derived from the project - Covered topics included for example innovative demolition methods and tools together with technological solutions for closing material loops - says Mrs. Agnieszka Kowalska, expert of ASM, project's partner responsible among others for dissemination activities.
HISER Final Conference was organized in the frame and contex of Raw Materials Week 2018 - one of the most important EU events dedicated to circular economy in Construction. It builds up on a series of events organised by the European Commission addressing the latest news on raw materials in the EU. So it is a unique opportunity for the raw materials community to discuss and exchange on all relevant issues: policy, technology, international cooperation, framework conditions, knowledge base etc.
The HISER event was preceded by its standardization workshop built on the key findings and outcomes from the project HISER about Certification and Standardization issues related to new products involving secondary C&DW-recovered raw materials.
Proceedings of HISER Final Conference have been recorded and will be released to the public. Conference video will be available via project website and other sources soon.
